The Weakness in Me

There is a mountain of evidence to condemn you
The jury has spoken
The judge has ruled
But I, your executioner and victim in one
When I am faced with the choice between loneliness and retribution
Would choose to pardon you
Again and again
If only to have something to hold on to tonight
